About
Angelcorpse was a highly influential American blackened death metal band formed in 1995 by Pete Helmkamp and Gene Palubicki following the demise of Helmkamp's previous band, Order from Chaos. Known for their extreme speed, relentless aggression, and 'war metal' aesthetic, they released landmark albums such as 'Hammer of Gods' (1996) and 'The Inexorable' (1999). Although they relocated to Tampa, Florida, in 1998, the band maintained a strong connection to the Midwest underground scene through regular performances at the Milwaukee Metalfest. After several breakups and reunions, the band officially ceased activity in 2017.
