About
Formed in Milwaukee in 1981, Violent Femmes are a seminal folk punk and alternative rock band. Discovered while busking outside the Oriental Theatre by James Honeyman-Scott of The Pretenders, the trio consisting of Gordon Gano, Brian Ritchie, and Victor DeLorenzo went on to release their iconic self-titled debut in 1983. Known for enduring hits like 'Blister in the Sun', 'Add It Up', and 'Gone Daddy Gone', they remain one of Wisconsin's most influential and successful musical exports. Despite several hiatuses, the band has continued to tour and record, maintaining a massive global following.
