About
Guy Hoffman is a legendary drummer and vocalist from the Milwaukee music scene, best known for his work with some of Wisconsin's most influential rock bands. Born in Milwaukee in 1954, Hoffman was a foundational figure in the city's punk movement as a founding member of The Haskels and Oil Tasters in the late 1970s and early 80s. He gained national acclaim as an original member of the BoDeans, performing on their 1986 debut album 'Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams'. In 1993, he joined the Violent Femmes, replacing original drummer Victor DeLorenzo, and remained with the band until 2002. During his tenure, he recorded several albums and toured globally, including a performance at Woodstock '94. In addition to his band work, Hoffman is an accomplished film composer, contributing scores to projects like 'Field Day' and 'Night Rain' (2022). He also founded the Los Angeles-based band Radio Romeo in 2006.
