Dead On
About
Dead On was a prominent and highly influential thrash metal band from the Midwest underground scene, active primarily in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band is most famous for their 1989 self-titled debut album released on SBK Records, which blended technical thrash with a dark, atmospheric edge. Though based in Chicago, the band was a staple of the Milwaukee underground music community and a frequent high-profile act at the early Milwaukee Metal Fest. The original lineup featured Michael J. Dead (vocals), Tony Hammer (drums), Craig DeFalco (guitars), Jack Barber (bass), and Scott Thayer (guitars). After a long hiatus starting in 1992, the band reunited in 2012 to perform at various festivals and release new material.
