Swaumphth is an underground blackened thrash and doom metal project hailing from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Formed in early 2025, the band explores a primitive and murky sound that blends the aggression of thrash with the atmosphere of black metal and the crushing weight of doom. They released their debut full-length album, Catarrhial Sphagnum Ritual, in September 2025, which features tracks such as "Ancient Bog of Worship" and "Human Spoor Pungence." The act is active in the regional Wisconsin metal scene, frequently performing at local venues like PetSkull Brewing.
