Sorcery
About
Sorcery is a theatrical hard rock and proto-metal band formed in 1975 in Hollywood, California. The group achieved cult fame for their elaborate live shows, which featured on-stage magic illusions depicting a battle between Merlin and Satan. They are most notably recognized for their appearance in the 1978 cult film 'Stunt Rock,' for which they also composed the soundtrack. The band's lineup has included guitarist Richard 'Smokey' Taylor, bassist Richie King, and vocalists Greg Magie and David Glen Eisley. After a long hiatus starting in the late 1980s, the band reformed in 2021 following a renewed interest sparked by reissues from RidingEasy Records.
