Smart Shoppers is a high-energy 'dorkwave' quartet from Green Bay, Wisconsin, that has become a staple of the regional underground punk scene, frequently performing in Milwaukee. Formed around 2019, the band consists of Joey Shops (vocals/keys), Aaron Smart (guitar), Jash Thrift (drums), and the legendary Rev. Norb (bass), formerly of Boris the Sprinkler. Their sound is a frantic blend of 1977-style punk, Devo-esque new wave, and surf rock, characterized by hyperactive rhythms and lyrical themes centered on consumerism, retail culture, and suburban absurdity. They released their debut album 'DORKWAVE' in 2021, followed by 'LEFTOVERS FROM TOMORROW' in 2023, and 'SHOP AMONG US' in 2025. Frontman Joey Shops, also known as Joe Lambert, records and produces the band's material at his own Lucky Lamb Studios in Green Bay.
