Still kicking in their 26th year (can you believe these guys played their first show in April 2000?), Milwaukee-area noiseniks IfIHadAHiFi have unleashed their first releases since 2019’s full-length, We’re Never Going Home: a pair of 15-minute EPs recorded and mixed over the course of 2024 & 2025 with Shane Hochstetler at Howl Street Recordings. Paws in the Bacon Grease and its moodier twin, Night Vision Creeps, are a pair of bite-sized pop-noise morsels that, when combined, deliver more of those wholesome HiFi sugary hooks and shout-along anthems, completely buried under noise and screaming and samples and lyrics about woo-woo fascism and the Fermi paradox. IfIHadAHiFi: because music should feel like homework™.
