About

Patriarchy is an industrial-electronic project led by Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist Actually Huizenga. Described by Huizenga as 'snuff-pop,' the project is known for its transgressive, theatrical, and sexually-charged performances that blend elements of industrial, metal, and darkwave. Patriarchy debuted in 2019 with the album 'Asking For It' and followed up with 'The Unself' (2022), featuring collaborations with members of 3TEETH and mixing by industrial veteran John Fryer. The band has built a cult following in the underground dark music scene, performing at major festivals like Wave Gotik Treffen and touring across North America and Europe.
