Gelatinous Cube and the Ambiguous Wrecks, commonly known as GCxAW, is a punk band based in the Chicago metropolitan area. The group was formed around 2022 and is led by Josh, the owner of the Bolingbrook record store Controlled Chaos, alongside member Tristan. Known for their high-energy DIY performances and eclectic 'genre-fluid' punk sound, the band is a staple of the Midwest underground scene, frequently playing venues like Reggie's Music Joint and The Burlington Bar. They released their debut record 'Attack of the Cube' in 2024, featuring tracks like 'Jar of Pickles' and 'Nothing to Fear,' followed by a series of singles including 'Gambling Gods' and 'High At Medieval Times.'
