DJ Touré
About
DJ Touré (Toure Duncan) is a veteran producer, DJ, and drummer best known as a founding member and cornerstone of the legendary Oakland underground hip-hop collective Hieroglyphics. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Touré began his musical journey playing drums in church before transitioning to DJing and production in his youth. He served as the official DJ for Casual and became a central architect of the Hieroglyphics' signature soulful, sample-driven sound. Beyond his work with the collective, he has produced for West Coast icons such as Too $hort, E-40, and Goapele, and operates his own production company, 101% Music. He remains highly active as a solo artist and performer, recently headlining Milwaukee's Turner Hall Ballroom in March 2026 as part of the Hieroglyphics '360 Tour.'
