Casual

About

Casual is a Milwaukee-based indie rock quartet that emerged in the late 2010s as a prominent fixture in the city's underground and Riverwest music scenes. The band is often described as a local supergroup, featuring members from other notable Milwaukee acts such as Canopies and Moss Folk. Led by guitarist and vocalist Nicholas Elert, Casual's sound is characterized by intricate, interlocking guitar melodies and a moody, atmospheric art-rock sensibility. They released their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in March 2018 through the local independent label Gloss Records. While the members remain active in various other musical projects, the band has been largely dormant since 2019.
