2003 - 2017About
Crystal Castles was a Canadian electronic music group formed in 2003 in Toronto, Ontario, by songwriter-producer Ethan Kath and singer-songwriter Alice Glass. The group became known for their lo-fi, chaotic electronic sound and high-intensity live performances. They released three eponymous studio albums with Alice Glass before her departure in 2014. Kath later recruited vocalist Edith Frances and released a fourth album, 'Amnesty (I)', in 2016. The band became inactive in 2017 following public allegations of abuse made by Glass against Kath.
