Arts Fishing Club
About
Arts Fishing Club is an indie-folk rock project led by Wisconsin native Christopher Kessenich. The band's name serves as an homage to Kessenich’s grandfathers—both named Arthur—and represents a philosophy where creating art is likened to fishing: a process of 'casting lines' into a creative sea with patience and hope. Kessenich gained early notoriety for a 1,600-mile walking tour from Maine to Nashville to promote his early music. While the band is currently based in Nashville, they maintain strong roots in the Wisconsin music scene, frequently performing at major regional festivals such as Summerfest and Mile of Music. Their sound is characterized by a blend of high-energy rock instrumentation and introspective, storytelling-driven folk lyrics.
