Ladybird is a five-piece Americana and alt-country band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, formed in 2021 by singer-songwriter Pete McDermott (also known as Pete Freeman). The band is celebrated for blending raw, Midwestern storytelling with rock 'n' roll grit, often drawing comparisons to artists like Lucero and Drive-By Truckers. After establishing themselves in the local scene with EPs like 'Introducing...' (2021), they released their debut full-length album 'Amy Come On Home' in 2024, followed by the critically acclaimed 'Clementine' in late 2025. The group features McDermott alongside Sam Szymborski (guitar), Scott Parker (bass), and Aidan Gouran (drums).
