About
The Zac Brown Band is an American country and Southern rock outfit founded in Atlanta, Georgia, by lead vocalist and guitarist Zac Brown. Beginning in the early 2000s, Brown assembled a skilled ensemble of multi-instrumentalists who blended traditional country songwriting with bluegrass, Southern rock, and jam band influences. After self-releasing early recordings and steadily touring the Southern music circuit, the group caught major label attention. The band broke into mainstream superstardom with their 2008 breakthrough album, The Foundation, driven by the chart-topping smash hit "Chicken Fried." Renowned for their tight vocal harmonies and virtuosic musicianship, they quickly earned multiple Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 2010. They followed up with commercial and critical hits like You Get What You Give and Uncaged, solidifying their status as one of modern country music's most successful crossover acts. Over the subsequent decades, the Zac Brown Band expanded its lineup and pushed musical boundaries, often experimenting with pop, rock, and electronic textures while maintaining their signature roots sound. Today, they remain a top-tier live touring act, consistently selling out amphitheaters and stadiums while producing ambitious studio projects.
