YaYa Biggs
About
YaYa Biggs is a Milwaukee-based ensemble that traces its origins back to an accidental basement jam session in 2016. Founded by Jonathan Chacon, who invited coworkers Adam Labban and Michael Stearns to play alongside his roommate Brendan Smith, the group quickly grew into a community fixture after a few random neighbors mistook the session for a party. With the addition of pianist/composer Jesse Dunn, the group maintained a reputation as a 'party band' for several years. In 2023, the members transitioned into a professional recording and touring act, releasing singles like 'Empathy' and 'Push n' Pull' that blend soulful R&B textures with jazz-infused indie rock. The band is a frequent performer at prominent Milwaukee venues like the Cactus Club and has been featured on major local festival lineups including Summerfest.
