WORMHOLE

About

Wormhole is a technical brutal death metal band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2015 by brothers Sanil and Sanjay Kumar. The band is widely recognized for their "tech slam" sound, which fuses the intricate, high-speed riffing of technical death metal with the heavy, rhythmic grooves of slamming brutal death metal. Their conceptual themes and visual aesthetic are heavily inspired by science fiction and video game lore, particularly the Metroid series. Since their formation, they have released several notable albums, including "Genesis" (2016), "The Weakest Among Us" (2020), and their 2023 Season of Mist debut, "Almost Human." The current lineup features vocalist Julian Kersey, guitarists Sanil and Sanjay Kumar, bassist Basil Chiasson, and drummer Matt Tillett.
