Wisdom In Chains

About

Wisdom In Chains is a defining force in the Pennsylvania Hardcore (PAHC) scene, formed in 2002 as a collaboration between members of the Dutch band Daredevil and the American band Krutch. Based in Northeastern Pennsylvania, the group is renowned for their 'street rock' sound that blends aggressive hardcore punk with melodic punk rock and Oi! influences. Over two decades, they have released numerous influential albums, including 'Die Young' and 'Nothing in Nature Respects Weakness', while maintaining a reputation for anthemic, heart-on-sleeve lyricism and intense live performances. Despite a lineup change in 2024 with the departure of longtime vocalist Mad Joe Black, the band continues to record and perform with new vocalist Frankie Puopolo.
