About
Whoredom Rife is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 2014 in Trondheim. The group is a duo consisting of V. Einride, who handles all instruments and music, and K.R., who provides vocals. The band is a prominent fixture in the 'Nidaros' black metal scene, characterized by a sound that blends the raw, aggressive energy of early 90s Norwegian black metal with atmospheric and melodic depth. Since their debut EP in 2016, they have released several highly acclaimed full-length albums including 'Dommedagskvad' (2017) and 'Den Vrede Makt' (2024), earning multiple nominations for the Spellemannprisen (the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammys). Their lyrical themes often explore Norse mysticism, anti-cosmic chaos, and spiritual transcendence.
