About
White Lion was an American glam metal band formed in New York City in 1983 by Danish vocalist Mike Tramp and American guitarist Vito Bratta. They achieved mainstream success with their 1987 album 'Pride,' which sold over two million copies and included the hit single 'When the Children Cry.' Despite their success, internal tensions and the rise of grunge music led to the band's decline, and they disbanded in 1991.
