Waxahatchee
About
Waxahatchee is the indie music project of singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield, formed in 2010 following the breakup of her previous band, P.S. Eliot. Named after Waxahatchee Creek in her native Alabama, the project began as a lo-fi solo outlet with the 2012 debut 'American Weekend'. Over more than a decade and six studio albums, Waxahatchee has evolved into a powerhouse of the Americana and indie rock scenes. Her critically acclaimed albums, such as 'Saint Cloud' (2020) and 'Tigers Blood' (2024), are celebrated for their sharp, poetic lyricism often centered on themes of sobriety, self-examination, and Southern roots.
