About
Vortis is an American punk rock band formed in Chicago in 2000. Initially featuring frontman Michael A. Weinstein and music critic Jim DeRogatis, the band has released several albums, including 'Take the System Down' and 'God Won't Bless America'. After Weinstein's departure in 2009, the trio of DeRogatis, Tony Tavano, and Louie Calvano continues to perform and record, maintaining their politically charged and energetic sound.
