Formed in Madison in 2000 by Nikki Drohomyreky and Jason Hartman, Vanishing Kids is a psychedelic doom and gothic rock band known for their ethereal yet heavy sound. After a period in Portland, Oregon, the band returned to Wisconsin, settling in the Madison area. Their music blends 70s psychedelic rock, shoegaze, and doom metal, characterized by Drohomyreky's haunting vocals and Hartman's virtuosic guitar work. They have released several acclaimed albums, including 'Heavy Dreamer' (2018) and 'Miracle of Death' (2023), the latter mixed by Randall Dunn.
