About

Twisted Sister is an American heavy metal band formed in 1972 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based on Long Island, New York. Led by frontman Dee Snider, the band became famous in the 1980s for their theatrical glam-metal style and hit anthems such as 'We're Not Gonna Take It' and 'I Wanna Rock.' They were a staple of the Long Island club scene before achieving international success with their multi-platinum album Stay Hungry.
