Troubadours of Rhythm

Led by multi-instrumentalist Jon Mroz (string bass, harmonica), the Troubadours of Rhythm are a Milwaukee-based ensemble dedicated to reviving the 'micro-niche' hot jazz and blues sounds of the late 1920s and early 1930s, particularly the South Side Chicago style. Since debuting in 2023, the group has become a staple of the Wisconsin swing dance and traditional jazz scene. Known for their 'hokum' humor and highly danceable repertoire, the band features a rotating cast of premier Midwest musicians including vocals from Aidan White and often featuring specialists like Andy Schumm. They released their debut album, 'It's Tight Like That', in September 2024.
