This Is My Tragedy is a punk rock duo from Madison, Wisconsin, often described as the city's "resident sad bois." Consisting of members Mike Semmerling and Lex Dahl, the band is a fixture in the Wisconsin underground scene, known for their emotional, high-energy performances. After a brief hiatus, the band returned to the stage in late 2024 and 2025. In 2025, they launched a prolific project titled "52 Demos in 52 Weeks," which saw them releasing a new track every week for an entire year. They frequently perform in both Madison and Milwaukee, sharing stages with other local staples like Mulva, Bellends, and Sapsucker.
