About
Wes Tank (born Wesley Charles Tank) is a Milwaukee-based multi-disciplinary artist, musician, and filmmaker who has been a prominent fixture in the city's underground DIY and experimental music scenes since 2002. Known for his unique style of "art rap," he has performed under various monikers, most frequently as WC Tank, and has been a driving force behind projects such as Sun//Decrease, Bread Mothers, 0Cul1, and Antler Antennas. He is a frequent collaborator with other Milwaukee staples like The Demix, The Fatty Acids, and Immortal Girlfriend. In 2020, Tank gained international viral success with his "Story Raps" series, featuring Dr. Seuss books rapped over Dr. Dre-style beats, which led to a series on Kidoodle.TV. He is also the founder of the production company TankThink and holds a BFA in experimental film production from UW-Milwaukee.
