About
The Siren Six! was a highly influential band in the late-1990s Midwest underground scene. Formed in 1994 (originally as Stinkfish), they blended 1960s British mod and 2-Tone ska influences with 1990s indie rock. The band was a staple of the regional DIY circuit, including frequent performances in Milwaukee and Madison, before relocating to Los Angeles in 1999. They are best known for their debut album 'The Voice with a Built-In Promise' (1996) and the 'Young and Professional' EP (1998). Following their initial split in 2000, drummer Jeff Conrad joined Phantom Planet, while other members formed Big City Rock. The group reunited for a series of 20th-anniversary shows in 2017 and 2018.
