THE RUMORS
About
The Rumors (formerly known as Orlando & The Rumors) is a genre-blending 13-member musical collective that emerged from the Burnsville, MN music scene. Founded in 2018 by core members Orlando and Corey Michael, who originally met on their high school freshman football team, the group has evolved into a fully self-sustained creative unit. Their sound is characterized by an eclectic mix of indie pop, electronic textures, smooth R&B, and alternative rock. The collective handles all aspects of their work independently, including self-recording, engineering, and visual design. They have become a significant fixture in the regional Midwest underground scene, gaining recognition through platforms like The Current and performing at prominent venues such as First Avenue. The group maintains a strong connection to the Milwaukee underground music community, notably through frequent collaborations with artists like Milwaukee-based producer/artist Aibai.
