About
The Nunnery is the solo project of artist Sarah Elstran. The music is characterized by lush soundscapes created through the live layering and looping of her own voice, bridging the gap between pop composition and atmospheric experimentation. Elstran, who grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, began the project after a period of transition, moving away from traditional guitar-based songwriting to focus on emotive, melody-driven vocal loops.
