2002 - 2007About
The Children's Crusade was a highly influential underground punk band from Milwaukee, active in the early-to-mid 2000s. Characterized by high-energy, raw, and anthemic pop-punk, the band became a cornerstone of the regional scene. Their recordings were so well-regarded that they served as the primary inspiration for the founding of the notable independent label It's Alive Records. The band is best known for their song 'Milwaukee Nights' from their split 7" with Dan Padilla, and their 2007 10" release 'Get Awesome.' Members included Max Nordile, Mike Warm, and Germ (Jeremy Gorky), many of whom were involved in other prominent Midwest punk acts like The Copyrights and Chinese Telephones.
