The Casket Lottery

About

The Casket Lottery is an American indie rock and post-hardcore band from Kansas City, Missouri, founded in 1997 by Nathan Ellis and Stacy Hilt. Emerging from the roots of the hardcore band Coalesce, the group developed a signature sound that blends aggressive punk energy with melodic emo and atmospheric indie rock. After an initial prolific run in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the band experienced several hiatuses but remained a cult favorite in the underground scene. They returned to active status with the release of 'Short Songs for End Times' in 2020 and their sixth studio album, 'Feel the Teeth,' in 2025.
