Talking Heads were an American rock band formed in New York City in 1975, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist David Byrne, drummer Chris Frantz, bassist Tina Weymouth, and guitarist and keyboardist Jerry Harrison. They pioneered new wave music by blending elements of punk, art rock, funk, and world music, creating an anxious yet clean-cut image. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
