About
Stephen Wilson Jr. is an American singer-songwriter from Seymour, Indiana, known for blending indie rock, grunge, and country influences into a unique sound he describes as "Death Cab for Country." Raised by a single father who was a boxer, Wilson pursued a degree in microbiology at Middle Tennessee State University, where he formed the indie rock band AutoVaughn. After touring as their lead guitarist, he shifted focus to songwriting and signed with BMG Nashville in 2016. His songs have been recorded by artists like Caitlyn Smith, Brothers Osborne, and Old Dominion. In 2023, he released his debut EP, "bon aqua," and his debut album, "søn of dad," which was inspired by the death of his father.
