Stepback (sometimes stylized as Step Back) was an underground hardcore punk band active in the Milwaukee D.I.Y. scene during the early 1990s. They were a fixture of the city's burgeoning hardcore community, frequently performing at legendary local venues like The Unicorn. The band is closely associated with the later Milwaukee hardcore act Drawback (active around 1993), as the track "Stepback" appears on Drawback's 'Testimony of Survival' release. Their music was characterized by the high-energy, aggressive sound typical of the era's straight-edge and hardcore movements.
