About
Salivus is an Indiana-based thrash metal band that emerged in 2019, founded by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alex Oliver. Drawing heavy inspiration from 'Big Four' pioneers like Metallica and Slayer, the band delivers a high-velocity, 'old-school' thrash sound. The group solidified its current lineup with Jordan Houchen on lead guitar, Ahyden DeVault on drums, and Lucas Welch on bass. Salivus has become a regular fixture in the Midwest underground metal scene, frequently performing at venues in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (such as Kochanski's Concertina Beer Hall) and Chicago, Illinois (Reggies). They released their debut demo, 'Blistering,' in 2024, followed by the 2026 single 'Twister,' and have toured extensively throughout the region.
