About
Sacramentum is a highly influential Swedish melodic black metal band formed in 1990. They are best known for their 1996 debut album, 'Far Away from the Sun,' which is considered a landmark release in the genre, often compared to the works of Dissection. The band's intricate, melodic compositions and cold atmosphere helped define the Swedish sound of the 1990s. After a long hiatus starting in 1999, the band officially reunited in 2019 to perform and record new material.
