Retox A.D. is an underground hardcore punk and thrash metal band hailing from Appleton, Wisconsin. Forming around 2020, the group has become a definitive force in the Northeastern Wisconsin (NEW) DIY music scene, frequently performing across the Fox Valley, Green Bay, and Milwaukee. The band is recognized for its high-velocity "Splattercore" and crossover sound, blending old-school hardcore aggression with the precision of thrash metal. The lineup features veteran local musicians, including Green Bay resident Nate Robbins (formerly of Lion Slicer) and drummer Dave Patterson. Retox A.D. achieved significant acclaim with their 2025 split LP "La Bestia" alongside Seattle thrash icons The Accused A.D. (featuring Blaine Cook), released via Skinwalker Records. Their discography also includes the "Faceless Nameless" EP on Rad Girlfriend Records. The band is known for sharing stages with prominent acts such as D.R.I., La Armada, and Die Kreuzen members.
