PURE HEX

About

Pure Hex is a San Francisco-based alternative rock band that emerged from the city's DIY scene in 2019. The group, featuring Marta Alvarez (vocals), Zach Dighans (vocals/guitar), Hussain Khan (guitar), Jon Annunziato (drums), and Luke Clingerman (bass), blends 90s grunge nostalgia with swirling shoegaze and haunting dream pop vocals. Their sound draws comparisons to acts like Deftones, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Mazzy Star. Since their self-titled debut in 2019, they have released the album 'Still Dark' (2024) and the double LP 'Spilling/Five of Tears' (2025). The band has shared stages with prominent acts such as DIIV and Slow Crush, and is currently active in the national touring circuit, including performances in Milwaukee.
