About
Psycroptic is a prominent technical death metal band formed in 1999 in Hobart, Tasmania, by brothers Dave and Joe Haley. Emerging from the remote Australian island state, they quickly gained international recognition with their 2001 debut 'The Isle of Disenchantment' and 2003's 'The Scepter of the Ancients'. Over more than two decades, the band has evolved their sound, blending brutal death metal with intricate technicality and rhythmic complexity. They have released numerous acclaimed albums through major metal labels such as Metal Blade, Nuclear Blast, and Prosthetic Records, touring globally alongside genre leaders like Cannibal Corpse and Aborted.
