About
PONS is a punk rock band formed in 2018 by longtime friends Sam Cameron and Jack Parker in North Carolina. Initially starting as a duo, they expanded to a trio with the addition of drummer Sebastien Carnot in 2019. The band relocated to New York City in 2020, where they quickly gained recognition for their energetic live performances and relentless touring schedule. In 2022, they were named New York City's "Hardest Working Band" by Oh My Rockness after playing over 150 shows across the U.S. that year. Their music is characterized by a fusion of punk rock, post-punk, and experimental elements, drawing influences from artists like Iggy Pop, Suicide, LCD Soundsystem, and Crystal Castles. PONS released their debut full-length album, "Intellect," in 2020, followed by "The Liquid Self" in 2023. They have supported notable acts such as Vundabar, Sidney Gish, Gustaf, and Geese.
