Plague Bringer
About
Plague Bringer is an influential industrial metal and grindcore duo that became a cornerstone of the Midwest underground extreme music scene. Formed in December 2002 by guitarist and drum programmer Greg Ratajczak alongside vocalist Josh Rosenthal, the band is known for their 'digital grind' sound, which utilizes complex and pummeling drum machine patterns in place of a live drummer. They gained significant recognition with their debut full-length 'As the Ghosts Collect, The Corpses Rest' (2005) and their sophomore effort 'Life Songs In A Land Of Death' (2008), both released via Seventh Rule Recordings. Though based in Chicago, the duo maintained a deep connection to the Milwaukee and Wisconsin underground, performing regularly at local staple events like Midwest Fuckfest and Robot Mosh Fest at The Rave. After a lengthy hiatus following their 2010 performances, the band officially reunited in 2026 for a high-profile set at Chicago's Forever Deaf Fest.
