About
The Northern is a progressive metalcore and djent band based in Toronto, Ontario. Formed in 2015 by Leo Valeri and Nick Papageorgiou, the group quickly evolved from a studio project into a full touring act. They signed to Tragic Hero Records in 2016 and released their debut full-length album, "Solstice," in 2017, which showcased their signature blend of technical polyrhythms and melodic atmosphere. The band has toured extensively across North America and remains a prominent fixture in the Canadian heavy music scene, most recently releasing the single "Drown" in late 2023.
