About
Noose was a vegan straight edge hardcore punk band from Chicago, Illinois, active in the early 2010s. The group gained recognition for their aggressive, old-school sound influenced by 1980s Boston hardcore bands like SSD and DYS. They released a well-received demo in 2010 and were subsequently signed to React! Records, where they released the 7-inch EP 'The Truth of the Matter' in 2011 and 'It's Your Time' in 2012. The band was known for their intense live performances and commitment to vegan straight edge principles, featuring members such as Bucky, Joey Kappel, Kyle Roth, and Matt Wes.
