About

Nitzer Ebb is a British electronic music group formed in 1982 in Chelmsford, Essex, England. The band was founded by school friends Vaughan "Bon" Harris (programming, synthesizers, drums, vocals), Douglas McCarthy (vocals), and David Gooday (drums). They are pioneers of the Electronic Body Music (EBM) genre, known for their aggressive, danceable beats and commanding vocals. Their debut album, "That Total Age," released in 1987, featured the hit single "Join in the Chant," solidifying their influence in the electronic music scene. After a hiatus in the late 1990s, Nitzer Ebb reunited in 2006 and continues to perform and release new material, maintaining their legacy as innovators in the industrial and electronic music genres.
