About

Messiah is a Swiss extreme metal band formed in 1984 that is known for pioneering a blend of death, thrash, and black metal. After disbanding in the mid-1990s, the group reunited in 2017 and has since returned to recording and performing. Their style is characterized by an experimental approach to extreme metal that evolved from raw early releases to more refined death/thrash classics.
