Medanos

About

Medanos is a Chicago-based alternative punk rock band formed in 2017. The group originated in Santiago, Chile, where Vladimir Ron (lead vocals and guitar) and Jesús Ramírez (bass and backing vocals) began creating music that fuses the energy of rock with the intensity of alternative sounds. After several years of developing their unique style, the band relocated to Chicago in search of new opportunities and challenges. In the Windy City, they reconfigured their lineup, adding Jorge Rodríguez on lead guitar and Ringo on drums. The current members are Vlad (lead vocals and guitar), George (guitar, synthesizer, and backing vocals), Kharim (guitar), Jesús (Chuma) (bass and backing vocals), and Stephanie (drums). Medanos is known for their high-energy performances and a sound that blends alternative rock with Latin influences. They have released several tracks, including "Annie," "Dance," "Esencia," "Addiction," and "Chaos." Their latest EP, "IS THE DREAM STILL ALIVE?" was released in December 2025. The band continues to perform live, with recent shows in Chicago, and is actively working on new material.
