About
Massive Shadow is a progressive metal project hailing from the Twin Cities area, primarily driven by musician and songwriter Josh Stuessy. The band emerged in the regional Midwest underground scene around 2024, characterized by a heavy, atmospheric sound that often blurs the lines between alternative metal and technical prog. Massive Shadow is frequently associated with the Minneapolis metal community, performing alongside established acts like InAForeThought and Domidium at venues such as Amsterdam Bar & Hall in St. Paul. Josh Stuessy has been featured in the Twin Cities music circuit via interviews on the Jared Singer Extravaganza, where he discusses the project's evolution and musical direction.
