Raised in Northern California, she began her career in the early 1990s, making regular appearances on Soul Beat TV, a cable station in Oakland. She gained widespread recognition for her role as a prostitute in the 2006 mockumentary film 'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.' Throughout her career, Luenell has appeared in numerous films, including 'So I Married an Axe Murderer' (1993), 'The Rock' (1996), 'Think Like a Man' (2012), and 'A Star Is Born' (2018).
